The project includes the construction of a new main terminal, VIP terminal, air traffic control building, fire rescue station, etc., and a 3,400-meter runway that can take off and land four-engine long-range wide-body aircraft such as Boeing 747 and Airbus A340. In addition, it also includes taxiways, connecting roads, aprons, patrol roads, fire trucks and other facilities, with a total area of about 586,000 square meters. The progress of the project shows that the tower, as the air traffic control center of the airport, is inspired by the local date palm trees and combines the arched shape in traditional buildings to form a vertical upward growth trend.
